Hello All!
I was just talking to my mom on the phone a few minutes ago and she mentioned that she had been to a performance of a dancer called Mythili Prakash, who is only in her late 20's, and is said to be one of the most "perfect" dancers, as in the best of the best, maybe ever. My mom, who is a dancer, completely agrees, as do I.
This is a video of the dancer with some info on bharat natyam. Enjoy.

A late start
Hello/Namaste!
I think I am the last person to set up a blog......wow, i fail at life......anyway, better late than never! I mean, I have had a lot of fish to marinate, coat in batter, and fry, so it did take me awhile to set this thing up.....but I will make up for it!
Today was the day I found out that I was never made for a corset....I could barely breathe in that tight wrap but that simply heightened my respect and awe for people who wear that often! I mean, pain is a great motivator, as we all know from dance, but dancing and not breathing at the same time is something that I have to get used to!
I also loved my little banja, and all the awesome questions they asked. You have no idea how amazing it makes me feel when people are interested in my culture, and they want to know more.......and yes, I love the Ramayanna! I mean, my last name is Ramaswamy.....I almost have to love it!
Thats all for now folks,
Peace out,
Anushya
